Privacy policy

Last updated: April 2026

Mixly is designed to work without storing your data. Editing happens entirely in your browser, with no account and no audio file sent to our servers. This policy explains what is actually collected — which is very little — in line with the GDPR.

In short

  • No account is required to use Mixly.
  • Your audio files never leave your device: editing and exporting happen in your browser.
  • Mixly has no database holding your projects, tracks or exports.
  • When you pay, only your email address is shared with Stripe to send the receipt. Payment data is collected and kept by Stripe, never by Mixly.
  • No advertising, no data resale, no third-party tracking.

Local in-browser processing

The whole process — import, trimming, transitions, BPM sync, preview and final file generation — runs locally in your browser. No audio file is ever uploaded to our servers.

When you close the tab, your project and files disappear with the session: we have no way to restore them or to access them.

Payment (Stripe)

Export payment is handled by Stripe, a PCI-DSS Level 1 certified provider. When you pay:

  • Stripe collects your email address to send the receipt and to support invoicing.
  • Stripe collects your payment details (card, IBAN, etc.) directly on its own servers.
  • Mixly only receives confirmation that the payment succeeded and the email address used to deliver the receipt and the download link.
  • No card number is ever visible to or stored by Mixly.

Stripe’s retention of these data is governed by its own privacy policy and by accounting and tax obligations.

Cookies and local storage

Strictly necessary

Mixly only uses your browser’s local storage to remember your language and the state of your current project. No advertising or tracking cookies.

Audience measurement

If audience measurement is enabled, it is anonymous (no tracking cookie, no individual identifier) and used only to understand overall site traffic.

You can clear local storage and cookies at any time from your browser settings.

Your rights (GDPR)

Mixly keeps no customer file: most GDPR rights are satisfied by default, since we have nothing to look up, correct or delete. For data processed by Stripe (email, payment), you retain the following rights:

  • Right of access
  • Right to rectification
  • Right to erasure
  • Right to data portability
  • Right to object
  • Right to restriction of processing

To exercise these rights, or for any question, contact us at: contact@201labs.app

Data retention

Mixly keeps no audio file, no project and no export history on its servers. The only data left after a payment (email, amount, receipt) is kept by Stripe under its own policy and the legal retention period for accounting documents (typically 10 years in France).

Security

Mixly applies simple, verifiable security measures:

  • HTTPS / TLS encryption for all communications with the site.
  • No user database — there is no personal data stored on Mixly servers.
  • Audio processing confined to the user’s browser.
  • Payments handled exclusively by Stripe, PCI-DSS Level 1 certified.
  • Access to internal tooling restricted following the principle of least privilege.
