Mixly
Fitness & Zumba classes

The mix that holds your fitness class with no dead air

Zumba, Body Combat, cycling, HIIT, Pilates: build a seamless playlist so you never lose your students between two songs.

Quick overview

A fitness class with no music gaps is a class that holds. As a Zumba coach, Body Combat instructor or cycling lead, you know every silence breaks the effort. With Mixly, you build your playlist into a single file that flows with no dead air, respecting the BPM of each phase (warm-up, cardio, core, cool-down).

Why Mixly

No silence between two songs

Crossfades remove the pauses that drop the heart rate and break the room's energy.

Phase-coherent BPM

Time warm-up (110 BPM), cardio (130-140) and cool-down (90-100) with the right BPM songs.

Total duration on target

A 45 / 55 / 60-minute class: Mixly shows total length in real time so you can adjust.

Even loudness

Normalization avoids students at the back losing the choreography on quieter songs.

How to do it, step by step

  1. Step 1

    List songs by phase

    Warm-up (5 min) → cardio (30-40 min) → cool-down (5-10 min). Upload 8-15 songs depending on length.

  2. Step 2

    Trim long sections

Keep the chorus and one verse, cut the long outros that drop the rhythm.

  3. Step 3

    4-8s crossfades

To switch between songs without a gap: 4s in fast cardio, 8s in cool-down.

  4. Step 4

    Export to 320 kbps MP3

Instant playback on phone, Bluetooth speaker or gym PA system.

Pro tips

Know the BPM of your tracks

Tools like Spotify or DJ apps display BPM. Aim for 130-140 in cardio, 90-110 in recovery.

Plan around choreo changes

If you change choreography on every song, keep crossfades short (3s) so you don't lose students.

Prep 2-3 mixes per session type

A cardio mix, a core mix, a cool-down mix — you keep control of intensity.

Test in class conditions

Run the mix once in rehearsal to verify pace and volume.
