Podcast & audio content

Your podcast episode, ready to publish

Assemble intro, jingle, interview, bumpers and outro into a single MP3 file ready to push to Spotify, Apple Podcasts, Acast or Buzzsprout.

Quick overview

Podcasts have exploded: interviews, fiction, news, branded content. But editing is still a technical hurdle. Mixly simplifies assembly: upload your branding (intro, jingle, bumpers, outro), your interview recorded on a phone or in a studio, time the transitions and export an MP3 ready to push to your hosting platform.

Why Mixly

One-click branding

Upload your intro and outro once, duplicate the project for every new episode.

Even loudness

Normalization aligns the studio intro and the phone-recorded interview.

Clean transitions

Crossfade between the end of the intro and the start of the interview for a smooth opening.

Platform-ready format

320 kbps MP3 export, the format requested by every platform (Spotify, Apple, Acast, Buzzsprout, Spreaker…).

How to do it, step by step

  1. Step 1

    Upload the branding

Drop your intro, jingle, audio bumper and outro. You can reuse them on every episode.

  2. Step 2

    Upload the interview

Add the interview file(s) (Zoom, recorder, studio). Mixly accepts every common audio format.

  3. Step 3

    Time the transitions

Short crossfade between intro and interview, audio bumper between two segments, outro at the end.

  4. Step 4

    Export and publish

Run the 320 kbps MP3 export, download the file and upload it to your host (Acast, Buzzsprout, Spotify for Podcasters…).

Pro tips

Record in a quiet room

Background noise is the podcast's worst enemy. Record in a room with textiles (bed, sofa, curtain).

Cut blanks and hesitations

Trim long pauses and 'umms' to keep a snappy pace. Mixly does it down to the millisecond.

Aim for 20-30 min per episode

That's the average podcast listening duration. Too short, no depth. Too long, listeners drop off.

Nail the first 30 seconds

That's when the listener decides to keep listening. Polish your intro and pitch.

Frequently asked questions

Does Mixly replace a real podcast editor?

For simple episodes (intro + interview + outro), yes. For podcasts with multiple guests on split tracks, a dedicated DAW remains more efficient.

Can I publish directly to Spotify?

Mixly produces the MP3 file. Publishing happens via your host (Acast, Buzzsprout, Spotify for Podcasters…) which then distributes to Spotify, Apple, etc.

What's the right export format?

320 kbps MP3 mono or stereo, the standard requested by every platform.

Can I remove background noise?

Mixly doesn't denoise. Use a denoiser upstream (Audacity, Adobe Podcast, Auphonic) then upload the cleaned file.
